The "Mundo Maya 2012" tourism promotion program was presented at the Manhattan meeting which is a campaign to attract more visitors to the Mayan areas in southeastern Mexico in the states of Campeche, Chiapas, Tabasco, Quintana Roo and Yucatan.

A glyph about the end of a cycle and the beginning of another was for the attractions on the area of Mexico ignited the interest of the people's interest which have lead to a number of interpretations and a so called alleged "doomsday prophecy" was denied by the specialists.
