"A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep." Game Of Thrones, George R.R. Martin
We live in a pretty cruel world at times. While it does have its nurturing moments, we can't deny that things can be pretty rough around the edges.
But it isn't the world that challenges us as much as the people who are walking upon it. It seems that every time someone tries to spread a positive message, bring light out in others, or bring positivity into the world there are thousands of people who try to tear them down.
Our society is built upon the spreading of gossip and the tearing apart of hearts. There is a massive audience of people who are looking to watch others fail instead of succeed. Further, there's a large group of people who will go out of their way to specifically try to bring people down who are rising to the top. They are the wolves and they love to come out and hunt.
But it's time for a new generation of people who are willing to take a stand for others.
We need lions. Lions? Yes, men and women who are willing to root themselves firmly in their core values and principles and not compromise on them. We need individuals who are willing to stand for others greatness and live lives in such a way that inspire the hearts and minds of those around them.
When we find these individuals, we will have a grand force of positivity in this world.
But why is this important?
Because we need to regain our belief as a race. Every time someone has risen there has been an overwhelming force to try to get them to fall and they usually do. We need people to rise to great heights and stay there. We need role models. We need heroes. We need something to believe in so we can in turn believe in ourselves.
This won't all come easy. In fact, it's going to be one massive responsibility for those who decide to take on the challenge. But because we have these lions who know great victories and the sting of defeat, we have people who are willing to fight for what they believe in.
It's about time we had people in this world who are doing things for far more reasons than simply things that they want in life. It's time for the unselfish hero.
It's the time of the lion. It's time for the extraordinary.
Calling all new heroes.
