These people are playing a very important role, especially the people who are behind the scene. Another thing he needs to do is to interpret the script so that everyone, including the actors, would know what could be the possible thing they can do for the play. Sometimes it would really be hard for them when they would not know what could be the things they must do, and being knowledgeable is very important especially in the crucial part of it.
He is also the one who meets with the designer of the play. The design is important since this would be the one bringing up the props about. Without this person, it could be hard for the workers to analyze the setting and design is somewhat really important in a sense that it gives beauty to the play.
But being a good director does not only include being there to rant things that your people must do, but he must also be a good listener. Someone who could guarantee that he will be willing to listen to the advice of the others. Because there may be some suggestion that could be helpful to the success they are wanting to achieve.
For me, one of the hardest things that a person could do is being a leader. Because when you play this role, especially in an organization you have to do whatever it takes to get the success that is your goal. And if ever it gets failed, then you are the one who will be blamed. When it comes to being a play director you must do everything whatever it takes you so that success would be achieved.
