If you need to mend one of its posts, verify first if they are loose. You can mend it simply by screwing them tightly. Inspect the posts to see if they became rotten. Inspect it by digging the soil at its foot and poking the buried parts of a post. If it is not hard, you should consider replacing it.

Purchase all the materials you need before you remove the post. Next is to remove the post using a crow bar or just cut the nails using a saw. Dig the soil at its base and then remove it from the ground. Once it is out, place a post which is identical on its size. Nail it back so that it will be attached.

Check the frame. Make sure it is not leaning or damaged. If a frame is leaning, you can use a turnbuckle and steel wire for reinforcing. Run the wire diagonally from top to bottom. Tighten the wire until the leaning frame is reinforced.
