By Donna Carter

To create and to fabricate a signage is one of the fun ways that most people do. And for this reason, many of them have decided on having a business on this. Not only they can do what they love but they can also provide service to the clients while making an income. Signages are commonly used by businesses, mounted outside their buildings.

Almost all people would hate having some paperworks during the processing. However, some signage businesses would involve some paperworks in the processes and these must be followed prior to starting the manufacturing of new signs. So here are the five common steps that most businesses do for sign fabrication Odessa TX.

Signature approval for design drawings. Similar to building structures and making different kinds of artworks, to customize or to make the design would the first thing to do. By first making the layout or design, it will now be easy to make the next processes because the layout will serve as the guide. Clients must approve the design first before having the process.

Signature approval for signage quotes. The quotes should include the project costs. Clients must need to make sure that they have understood and have verified the total costs which are being involved in a project. Most large projects would usually take four to eight weeks for the manufacturing. And because the items have often expensive costs, having signed quotes would be very important prior to this process.

Paying for the down payment. 50 percent of a whole price must be paid prior to the process. Most manufacturers will not start on making the signage without the down payment. The customized signs are designed and are hand fabricated individually and there will be no return policy when the client will decide midway that he or she wants to change the logo or the name.

Sign permit application. An application will be filled out by the manufacturer which will be submitted to the departments of city planning and of building. The responsibilities that are held by manufacturers include the fabrication and providing methods on the attachment of signs. And specifically, the detailed design drawings specifications are provided with these.

Building owner or landlord signature. Similar to any other businesses or houses, the city would require the signature of building owner or of landlord on the application document. The signature affixed will verify that the owner has agreed and has understood the signs to be installed. Thus, this is one of the most important among the process.

Approval from the city. Aside from the building owner, the city also need to approve the sign permit. The project cannot be started as well without this approval. In this process, the city provides a stamped set of drawing to a manufacturer having the signatures of staffplanning members from the planning and the building departments.

When the manufacturer in going to get back those stamped sets, clients will be provided with a timeline for manufacturing time. The time for fabrication depends on the project size and scale. And thus, the costs become more expensive. So therefore, proper planning should be considered by clients for making the costs become worth it.
