Practice Volunteerism And Virtues When Joining 19 Lions

By Virginia Cook

Clubs and similar social groups or organizations are many, most with good service programs that give charity and other services to those in need, and have relevant fraternal events. A lot of these operate internationally and can have any number of chapters in good locations around the country and the globe. These are some of the best outfits with high standards for maintaining good lives for its members and people who benefit from their programs.

Lions Clubs International is probably one of the better fraternal groups that are well respected where members operate or chapters are located. Multiple Districts 19 Lions is an umbrella style of aggrupation covering Canadian British Columbia and the states of Idaho and Washington. It has more area to cover than average and also operates with many more chapters.

The district is also made up of regional HQs for better services delivery and action program coordination. It is quite accessible and open to all through its online sites and the chapter and region headquarters. Membership is, again, open to anyone who shares the same interests as the group, as advertised in brand descriptions, slogans and announcements.

For beginners, the primary requirement is having the spirit of volunteerism. This has given members, either working as individuals or groups, good answers to whatever community challenges there are that need addressing all over the globe. These are justified through the motto, We Serve, and it is the only one needed.

The organization was founded on June 7, 1917 in the city of Chicago. It has maintained its primary mission of through its existence in a way that encapsulates the organizational symbol. It grew into many chapters in a very short time, due to its progressive vision and populist strategy, and the club has kept on growing through time.

LIONS stand for the the virtues that its members practice and made into a practical slogan. These virtues are Liberty, Intelligence and Our Nations Safety. It is part of the democratic process that the group has propagated with great success in many countries, with the help of many members in those same countries.

Women and men who have good reputations in their communities and or in their majority are the ones invited to join the club. Membership concerns are guided by a set of rules that screens for the best people who can promote the mission and vision of service programs. To reiterate, visiting local chapter HQs is the best thing to do to be updated.

Colors are incorporated into organizational banners or flags to represent virtues in practice for members. The color purple represents things integrity or loyalty, and the golden colors is used to be symbolic of liberality, purity, sincerity and generosity. These symbols are usually in use for signage, official communications and dressage whenever the group is actively involved in events, programs and service missions.

Goals that are basic to the Lions International programs are connected to the preservation of hearing and eyesight for those who are afflicted with these problems. Many more goals can be put up whenever and wherever needed, and these are decided on by members in connection to national issues. Lions often work with local governments or groups with the same ideals for a team effort in delivering great and intensive help for people.
