Take Your Emotions Out For A Dinner Date

By Evan Sanders

Hi sweetheart. You look so beautiful tonight.

Thank you handsome. You're always such a gentlemen.

Hmmmm?

What if you could have a relationship like this with your emotions?

It's actually possible.

Now I'm not going to say that you aren't going to have fights from time to time, but what I am saying is that you can have a much healthier relationship with one another than you have right now.

I'm not going to tell you about happy emotions today. Not a chance.

I'm going straight to the heart. The place where you feel those bad emotions rumbling. The pit inside each of us that is blacker than black and we hate going there because it's terrifying to feel some of the emotions that live in this place.

Greed. Anger. Depression. Fear. Hate.

And a lot of pain.

All of those emotions are within us whether we like it or not. All of those emotions come out of each of us in many different ways because of many different situations. For many it could be heartbreak. For others it could be losing a job or getting into fights.

But we all have access to those emotions and they are incredibly powerful and possibly destructive if you don't know how to skillfully handle them.

That's what I'm about to teach you...

Carl Jung, the famous psychologist once said, "The brighter the light the darker the shadow."

If we really follow that logic, the more happiness we experience in this world the more access to sadness we also have. That fact right there scares most people to death.

But when we have committed to going out into the world and actually living, to chasing our dreams and to being the best person we can possibly be, we change in ways we never predicted. Along with that light comes the shadows and we must be able to coexist with our own shadow no matter how dark it may be at times.

There's a great skill to develop here...

Use every color of life, dark and light, to create something beautiful with your pain.

In our dark times, we must use those colors to express our more dangerous emotions that scare us. We have to put those paints on the canvas.

Create.

Express the brilliant chaos in your soul and let the world see who you truly are.

Never stuff things down inside to avoid what's truly going on with your life.

Create something beautiful on the canvas of your life. Create your best self using the "worst."

Paint something beautiful on the canvas of your life with all of the colors available to you.
