Daily Devotional: The Reason All of Us Long For Experience

By Pablo Perez

"I'm departing for Kenya, Africa... in 2 hours"

My spouse could not believe what I was saying and to be honest thatTuesday morning I didn't considering in going overseas in the least. Egypt and Mexico felt enough for any month (so I figured). But close to eleven o'clock, while reading a book, taking in my second coffee and strongly visualizing the relaxing days forward, a troublesome email appeared and smashed the morning in two:

Could you travel to Kenya tomorrow?

The email came from Jono Hall, director of the Forerunner Media Shool at the International House of Prayer of Kansas City. Graeme Spencer (head of production for God TV)enteredthe discussion from Washington DC and inquired about if I could lead worship in Kenya, that Thursday. After like 20 seconds of overwhelming contemplating, I finished enjoying my flavored coffee and typed a nervous yes.

Several hours later, I pulled the airline boarding pass from my mobile phone and came aboard flights to Chicago and Heathrow (London) and I joined the worn out yet friendly God TV team. We all ate a snack and embarked British Airlines flight 879 for Nairobi, Kenya. It turned out to be Wednesday late night, once i finally reached Africa.

With merely 3 hours of rest, I jumped in a small rental bus en route for 'mountain base'. This original ride delivered 45 minutes of wild driving incorporating classic British chat (try that after you've got jet lag).

High on the mountains the early morning felt intoxicating: the primitive aroma in the wild, the fascinating colors all over it seemed like nature grooving. Backstage, a corn country field evolved into stunning hillsides that finale on blue skies. Simply wonderful; creation at his finest (with a heavenly touch) the Watoto children choir of Uganda dancing on the complete stage.

For pretty much six prolonged hours we worshiped and broadcast unrehearsed (live TV) to more than 100 nations. Unquestionably wearing, but totally unforgettable!

At sundown, most of us left mountain base and went to the hotel (via crazy difficult roads you haven't seen in the most famous african movies). Some hours later, I kissed Africa so long, changed a couple of planes in Europe and made it back to Kansas, on Friday (for supper).

Now, that's something I define as "ministry on steroids"a exhilarating kingdom voyage, the adrenaline rush of crossing continents in twenty-four hours, feeling the awareness of God's presence over your soul, as well as the superb delight of an incredible experience.

Discovering the Mystery of an Irresistible Word

The section above has a compelling and captivating word. I'll be perfectly honest, I shared my visit to Kenya to focus on the value of that word. I guarantee: knowing the word can help you decode the cravings of your soul and find out the cause of most of your triumph and downfalls.

Envision yourself inside a spot where magnificence, unforgettable trips and exhilarating adventures take place every day. Envision a life in which boredom is evaporated and fascination is the predominant experience of the soul.

Let's say you can like a endless story, inside a world where love and majesty frequently take your breath away?

The following is something few individuals realize: deeply inside our hearts we live and yearn for experience. All folks crave for to "experience". It is not necessarily "things", "status" and "success" we desire, it is the experience those ideas supply we have been after, how they make us feel inside.

I have substantially more to talk concerning this subject, but this article is already long... don't worry... we'll meet again.
