Guerrilla Marketing Strategies to Enlarge Your Internet Marketing Business

By Jeanine Good

There are lots of tested and "true" ways to promote and market an Internet Marketing business venture. There are tons of articles on the internet that can describe how to write better articles and press releases. But, what happens if you have done all of these things and you cannot get to the next level? There are still tons of ways to get more exposure if you know how to think outside of the box. This is how guerrilla marketing tactics like the ones discussed in this article will help you.

Put your business in the phone book. Yes, phone books are, at this point, almost obsolete but there are still some people who use them. Listing your business in the phone book is usually affordable and easy to do. What's better is that there is more than one phone book to choose from. Yellow Book, Dex, and local phone books put out by teleservice providers like Verizon... make sure you are listed in all of them. If your budget is willing, then opt for the ad with a huge picture. When you do this, this will attract the attention on those who are only glancing at the content.

One way that many businesses do branding is with magnets that have their business name on them. What you will need to do is figure out a distribution method that works well and does not cost a lot. Go around town and ask stores if you can leave a stack on their counter. Just look through your yellow pages and find companies that make these things and you will be on your way to doing some branding. You will find that most places will let you do this, and that is good and you can get some exposure.

Ballpoint pens can be used to bring in business by simply giving them away. Since most people lose their pens, more than likely they would take one of yours. For instance, you could have several hundred pens made, each with your URL on the barrel of the pen and leave them at places like the grocery store or the bank where people can easily find them. If you go to a location where pens are used, such as a bank, you can mix in yours with those that are available. Just be sure no one sees you are less you may get into trouble! Be stealth when you get this done. Leave one or two at the bank, not a box containing two dozen.

You can use many different strategies to promote your business in a creative way. You have the opportunity to devise new angles that no one else has thought of yet. Why not step out of your comfort zone and test the waters? If one of your strategies goes wrong, then make a few changes and move on. You cannot say what will happen unless you are proactive.
